Demonstration Watercololur Painting.

I painted this over an hour and three quarters while talking to a group of fellow painters at their Newport Isle of Wight meeting on Tuesday March the 8th 2011.

This is what I do while demonstrating :-

I maintain audience contact and make sure everyone can hear
I explain everything as I go
I encourage questions and maintain a two way conversation with everyone, peppered with insights and humorous anecdotes - (insults and humorous antidotes - Count Arthur Strong).
I make it interesting
I complete a gallery standard painting

This is what I don't do while demonstrating :-

I don't decide what to paint in advance
I don't do a drawing before I arrive
I don't do any more to the painting after the demo
I don't sell demonstration paintings cheaply to members of the audience

These demonstration paintings sell for the same price as any of my paintings so past collectors can be confident in the value of their purchases - its about good faith.
